Shape Up Summer

I should be blogging more than once a month now that I am enjoying the perk of being a teacher in the summer!
However, I have been setting and attaining goals that will assist me when I get down to business for fall training:
1. Cut social drinking to a minimum (check!)
2. The running schedule has been successful, I did change a few things. For the fall, I would like to do more hills! (noted!)
3. Yoga- 2x-3x a week (check! I am developing a nice home practice too)
4. Every other day- Push-ups (one min), one minute break, Plank (one minute), one minute break, Squats (or lunges), one minute break and repeat 2x. (check!)
5. I have decided that before I have kids, I would like to complete a 1/2 Ironman. My running is fine, my swimming is going well (2x per week!), and I have been on a bike the total of one spin class in 2014, which was about 3 months ago. It is clear which event I need to work on. When the honeymoon is done, I'll pump some air in my tires and add the bike to the list.
6. My new passion has been aggressive reading on meat and the damage it does to the environment. Several days ago, I opened a spoiled ground chicken to make tacos, and was horrified. As of now, I am only eating fish. More to come in my next post on this!
